Step 1: Create the CTM Ad Unit
In Ads Manager, configure a separate Ad Campaign for Instagram and Facebook as their placements will vary by platform.
Step 2: Message template - Selecting the Partner App in Ads Manager
When setting up the Message Template in the ad unit, choose "Partner App" as the source instead of manually configuring the message.
-
Select Partner App: This option can be found under the setup section in Ads Manager.
-
Choose the Partner App & Flow: First choose Amplify.ai from the drop down, then choose the Message flow that is provided
Final Steps - CTM Preview links
Upon finalizing the message template, clients must proceed to extract ad preview links to facilitate quality checks and campaign validation. This step is crucial in ensuring that all campaign elements are accurately rendered and aligned with the intended messaging prior to full deployment. Here are the steps to extract the preview links.
Troubleshooting
[Setup] Although slightly inconvenient, Meta recommends that if the ad setup isn't functioning as expected it is sometimes best to recreate the ad from scratch - the old "restart your computer" trick!
[Permissions] Ad account users need certain permissions to see the dropdown as seen in the second screenshot under Partner App and Message flow. For whomever is setting up the ad, if those dropdowns are not populating, (1) please escalate to your Amplify contact to ensure that the message template is configured on our side and (2) reach out internally to check if there is a permission issue at play.
