To send a broadcast please follow below steps :
1. Locate the broadcast option from left side of the menu.
2. Click on "New Broadcast" from top right side.
Users can also 'Clone' an existing broadcast by clicking on 'Clone' on the right hand side of the broadcast they wish to clone.
The user will then be led to this screen, with pre filled details.
3. Enter the name and first tab and setup the message in the second tab.
4. In case you wish to include a URL in your broadcasts, we offer a separate feature under 'Advanced Settings' called URL Click Tracking. This feature allows for the generation of short URLs and enables click tracking for URLs configured in the text. Please ensure that your URLs include 'http://' or 'https://' (e.g., https://amplify.ai). Additionally, if a message does not contain a URL, please disable the URL Click Tracking feat.
5. Attach a Media if you wish to send an MMS.
6. Uncheck the 'Opt-out Text' box incase you don't wish to send the 'STOP2END' text.
7. Once done at the bottom you will see a button "Next". Click on the same.
8. You will then be led to a screen where you can add one or multiple phone numbers to send test broadcasts.
Once the numbers are added, click on "Test" on the bottom right corner to send the test broadcast to the specific numbers.
9. Once the 'Test Broadcast' is sent out, you will see this screen.
10. At this stage, you have the option to click the 'Back to Edit' button. Update the message, click 'Next,' and then test the broadcast again by clicking the 'Test Again' button.
11. Click the 'Next' button. A new screen will appear where you can toggle ON the advanced targeting options. This allows you to include or exclude specific segments from your broadcast base. Under 'Segments/Cohorts,' select the segment if it has already been created, and choose whether to include or exclude it from the user base.
You can find a list of existing Segements and Cohorts under the section on the left hand side menu.
As shown below, you can have multiple segments with include or exclude options using an AND condition, which indicates that all specified conditions must be met. For example, you can use different 'include' and 'exclude' segments depending on targetting for that specific broadcast.
12. At the bottom of the screen, you have the option to immediately schedule the broadcast. If you select this option and click the 'Send' button, the broadcast will be sent in 5 minutes of clicking 'Send,' as shown.
We also have the option to schedule the broadcast in advance by selecting the 'Later' option. As shown below, the broadcast is scheduled for 2 days from now. Click the 'Schedule' button to confirm.
13. We also have the option to save the broadcast as a draft after it's created, allowing for further editing and scheduling in the future. To do this, click on 'SAVE DRAFT'.
Click 'Proceed' to confirm the process of saving it as a draft.
14. This screen shows the status of the broadcast as follows:
- Recent: Click on 'Recent' to find broadcasts that were immediately scheduled.
- Scheduled: Click here to find broadcasts that are scheduled for a later time.
- Draft: The screenshot below shows a broadcast saved as a draft. As highlighted, you can click to access the broadcast settings, edit it, and schedule it as needed.
- Archived: Click this to access broadcasts that have been completed.
Note: A small highlight indicates the broadcast type—MMS (orange tag) and SMS (blue tag).
