1. Access Amplify 2.0 through the link app.amplify.ai, and select the account associated with the SMS service, as highlighted below.
2. Before ingesting a list, format the data using the predefined template; otherwise, you will need to perform manual mapping.
3. Under Settings, select Ingest List.
4. To upload a CSV file, click the 'Ingest a List' button.
5. In Step 1, select the 'Manual Mapping' option, and upload the CSV file by dragging and dropping it or using the 'Click to Browse' option.
6. The file is now uploaded, and we have the option to preview it, as shown. Click the 'Next' button to proceed to Step 2.
7. Here, we’ll move on to the 2nd step.
(i) You will see the Column Name and Sample Data. Select the field name from the predefined fields in the dropdown.
(ii) We also have the option to add the ingested list as a variable, as shown below.
iii) In the dropdown below, select the predefined variable as required.
- If there’s a column in the CSV that doesn’t match any option in the dropdown but still needs to be tracked, we’ll need to add a variable for it.
- If the item isn’t in the dropdown, it could still be tracked using an existing variable, like Bad Phonenumber.
- If no matching variable exists, a new one can be created. We should only create a new variable if it’s not already in the dropdown or in the bot.
8. Here, we’ll move on to the 3rd step.
There are three targeting options available. Based on your selection, corresponding segments will be created within the account to enable targeted messaging. If the client wants to target all subscribed users, Option 1 (the default) can be selected:
All Users (Default):
Select this option to target all users in a broadcast after ingestion. This is ideal if every subscribed user needs to be reached.
Existing Users:
Use this option to target only current users. This is helpful if the client wants to communicate exclusively with the existing user base, excluding new subscribers.
New Users:
Choose this option to target only new users. This is suitable for clients focused on engaging recently acquired subscribers.
(ii) Under Advanced Options, we also have the option to add any existing segment to the ingested list.
Click the 'Next' button to complete the process.
