How to setup Click to Messenger (CTM) ad using Facebook Ads manager ?

To create a campaign ,please follow below mentioned steps :

1. Tap on All Tools.



2. Under Advertise, tap on 'Ads Manager'.



3. A new window will open up on your screen. Tap on Create.



4. Under 'Choose a Campaign Objective,' tap on 'Engagement' and then click on 'Continue.'

5. Select Manual Engagement Campaign from the next pop up on your screen and hit 'Continue'.

6. Enter a 'Campaign Name' and click on 'Next'.

7. Enter an Ad Set Name.

8. Make sure under conversion, 'Messaging Apps' is selected.

9. Under Ad type, make sure 'Click to Message' is selected.

10. Select appropriate Facebook page from the drop down menu on which you want to run the campaign.

11. Under Messaging Apps, make sure 'Messenger' is selected and click on 'Next'.

12. Enter an Ad Name.

13. Make sure to turn on 'Ad Preview' to see the ad that is make in progress.

14. Scroll down to Ad setup under which you can select Single Image or video and then upload a image or video of your choice from Ad creative section.

15. You’ll need to input all the elements that make up your ad more creative : images, videos copy, etc. All of these can be found in the Ad Creative section:

- Upload the image or video from Add Media.

- Update the Primary text, Headline and Description (if any).

- Select Send Messages from the drop down menu under Call To Action tab.



16. Scroll down and select 'Create New' under Message Template. Under Message template section click on 'Start Conversations' and click on 'Edit' option.



17. Under Greetings tab select Text & Image and Update text which you wish to present as greeting to your users and upload an image (if any).



18. Scroll down to Customer Actions, select 'Quick Replies' from the drop down menu and update the name of the Quick reply 1 button to the name of your choice for example "Explore Now", "Yes" ,"Chat Now", "I'm Ready", "Get Started" etc.

19. Post which select Connect your bot from drop drown menu available under Automated Response tab and paste the Payload details (Payload details will be shared by Amplify) to connect the bot and click Save & Finish.

Note: You can also click on preview in messenger button to check look and feel of how your ad will look when it goes live.

20. After you click Save and Finish, you'll be redirected to the last page, there scroll down and Locate the URL parameters and paste the ref code (Ref code will be provided by Amplify) in the dialog box.



21. When you are done filling in all the above information, click 'Publish'.

That’s it — you’ve made your ad campaign on Facebook.

User Experience :

When the user clicks or taps on the ad, they will be taken to a conversation with your business in Messenger and receive the message you specified as your Messenger content.
