To deploy WhatsApp campaign we need to make sure that the contact number is updated in the Ads Manager.
The contact number will be used to communicate with the users. Once a user clicks on send message that particular user will be diverted to WhatsApp and will communicate using the updated contact number.
Steps :
- Click on create a campaign and select Engagement.
- After clicking next name the campaign and fill the relevant information and click Next.
- Next window will present you the options to select page , set conversion location and Messaging apps.
- Under messaging apps you will see 3 options as per below : Messenger, Instagram , WhatsApp.
- Select WhatsApp. Once you select WhatsApp you will be able to see the contact number .If that is the number you wish. Please proceed to next step and continue setting up the Ad.
- If you wish to update new contact number click on drop down option.
- A tab will appear where you will see the option to "Connect Account".
- Click on "Connect Account" and enter the contact number and click continue.
- You have successfully updated the new contact number.
- Once done proceed to the next step and your new contact info is updated.
