How to setup Click To Messenger(CTM) HOP?

Setting up a CTM HOP campaign is two step process :

Step 1:  Primary and Secondary receivers handover.

Step 2:  It consists of the flow where the ads are setup.

First Step :

A Facebook Page can use multiple messaging apps to communicate with customers.

 

In this setup, any app can serve as the Primary Receiver, while the Amplify bot is designated as the Secondary Receiver.To enable seamless conversation transfer between the customer support app and the Amplify bot, control of the conversation must shift between the apps. This transfer is facilitated by the Handover Protocol.

 

1. Go to the Facebook Page and click on Settings in the left menu, as shown below.

 

2. When the new screen appears, scroll down and, under Audience and Visibility on the left-hand side, click on Page Setup in the left menu.

 

3. Now click on the View option available in Advanced Messaging.

4. Under App Settings, click on Configure to hand over app control.

 

5. On the next screen, under App Settings, click on Select to set Amplify.ai as the primary receiver for Messenger or Instagram, as per the requirement.

Note: Ensure that no apps are currently configured as the primary receiver.

Second step : Setting up the ad.

1. Click the green +Create button in the Campaigns tab of your Ads Manager.

2. Select your campaign objective as Messages under consideration tab.

3. Scroll down and give your ad campaign a name and Click continue.

4. On the next page, you will be able to see options like special ad categories, A/B test, and optimize the campaign budget Click next.

5. You will be able to see Ad set name option on the page- Update the name in below tab and select "Click to message" from drop down menu under Destination >Ad type.

6.Select the Facebook page from drop down menu under accounts tab and click Next.

7. This is the final step of the campaign creation process. Here, you can select your preferred Facebook ad type and insert your ad images and copy.

To start, select Create a new ad from Ad setup drop down menu.

8. If you are creating an ad from scratch, you’ll need to input all the elements that make up your ad: the images, videos, copy, etc. All of these can be found in the Ad Creative section.

• Update the Primary text.
• Upload the image from Add Media option
• Select Send Messages from the drop down menu under Call To Action tab.

9. Scroll down to the 'Message template' section, select 'Create new' to create a new template, and click on the 'Partner app' option. Then, click on 'Select flow' as shown in the screenshot below.

10. The next screen will pop up. Now, select 'Enter JSON Code' as shown below and copy & paste the JSON code provided by the Amplify team. The output can be reviewed on the right side, as indicated in the screenshot.

Note: 

(ii) Click on OK button, a message is sent to the page inbox. Open Messenger to preview the message.

11. Under tracking section locate the tab URL parameters and paste the ref code in the dialog box. We will share the ref code.

When you are done filling in all the above information, click Publish.

That’s it — you’ve made your first ad campaign on Facebook !
