Moderation is a feature where you can set the system to automatically hide or delete comments based on a certain set of rules. The system can even ban offending users.
This features enables you to automatically hide or delete comments that are negative, hostile, or promote a competitor.
Using moderation, you will save time identifying and manually responding to (Hide/Delete/Ban user) comments. After setting up moderation, the system will start performing the set actions instantly.
For example if a user comments "I hate how your product is so expensive," you can set up moderation to identify these types of comments and instantly hide them from other users.
If you set up a rule to hide the comment, a user who posted the comment will not be able to know that particular comment is marked hidden.
There are 3 types of actions which can be performed under moderation:
- Hide comments - Hiding the comments will hide the set comments thus making any hostile comment invisible to other audience
- Delete comments - This action will delete the comment entirely from the post
- Ban user - This action will ban the user from posting the comment in future
To set up moderation there are two types of campaigns available:
- Amplify Standard Campaign
- Custom Campaign
Both the above campaigns are based on very simple rule, first you need to identify the percentage of comments to be targeted and secondly selecting a tag.
The association between a campaign and tag is exclusive. Once the campaign consumes the selected tag, the selected tag can not be used for any other campaign making tag useful for a single use only.
